Kathleen M. McGillycuddy, 2014 Jesuit GALA Honoree

Kathleen M. McGillycuddy is a graduate of Newton College of the Sacred Heart (which merged with Boston College in 1975). She has served as a trustee of Boston College since 2002, and was elected chair in 2011. She retired as Executive Vice President of FleetBoston Financial and for nearly 30 years was a key executive in Boston banking circles.

“I always believed your work should speak for itself,” she said; and her work with the Jesuits speaks loudly. She is founding co-chair and current chair of the Council for Women of Boston College which supports young women to become leaders and influential participants in the university community.

Kathleen and her husband, Ron Logue, are longtime Boston College supporters who established the McGillycuddy-Logue Center for Undergraduate Global Studies in 2008. The center was built to help promote innovative international learning for undergraduates at the school.

Fr. Myles Sheehan, SJ, provincial of the New England Province, says, “I am grateful that Kathleen  has kindly accepted the invitation to be honored with the Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam Award at our 2014 Jesuit GALA. We look forward to a successful evening of celebration.”
